Saudi Arab to give bailout financial package to Pakistan

Islamabad, 21 April 2022: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has once again stepped in to rescue Pakistan to arrest its worsening foreign reserves.

Highly placed sources, in PML-N have confirmed that “Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is likely to fly out to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to meet the Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman in coming days.”
A senior Foreign Ministry official said that work on the “Prime Minister’s tour is already under way, after getting a go ahead from Saudi Royal Family,” and, “the tour will kick start accordingly.”

The official said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will also perform Umrah, and give attendance at the Roza Rasool (PBUH) in Madina.
The official noted that Prime Minister will request the Saudi government for increasing the skilled, and general labour visas for Pakistanis to address nations rising jobless issue.
The official noted that Saudi government will also be requested for a soft loan to cover short term financial targets and, rising fiscal gap.

The official remarked that Saudi Government will be requested to rethink establishment of Pakistan’s largest Oil refinery and, Petro Chemical Complex in Gawadar, a star US $10 billion foreign investment project of CPEC.

Pakistani officials maintain that project was shifted to Karachi from Gawadar by Saudi government, “because of poor planning of PTI lack of infrastructure and other issues.”
It is pertinent to mention that Finance Minister Miftah Ismaeel in one his television appearance on Wednesday night Sama Tv anchor Nadeem Malik indicated that “Pakistan will likely to seek Saudi help to address country’s financial woes,” besdies opting for IMF bailout plan for synergizing country’s financial muscle.
The Minister for Information & Broadcasting Marium Aurangzeb when asked to comment on the matter could not respond to query shared by Prime News.
