Khan took to twitter, thanking his friends and family for their unwavering support during the span of his career. He had a 10- year career in amateur boxing before turning professional in 2005.
Amir Khan has won an Olympic Silver Medal and has remained a Unified World Champion during the span of his career. He has beaten boxers like Marcos Maidana, Devon Alexander and Marco Antonio just to name a few. Out of the 40 fights that he has competed in, Amir Khan has won 34.
