British- Pakistani former light-welter weight World Champion Boxer Amir khan announced on Friday that he will be retiring. Khan took to twitter, thanking his friends and family for their unwavering support during the span of his career. He had a 10- year career in amateur boxing before turning professional in 2005.
Amir Khan has won an Olympic Silver Medal and has remained a Unified World Champion during the span of his career. He has beaten boxers like Marcos Maidana, Devon Alexander and Marco Antonio just to name a few. Out of the 40 fights that he has competed in, Amir Khan has won 34.
Fans are devastated at the news and are showing an out-pour of love and support for the Boxers decision.
