Islamabad, Sept 13: It’s not claim, but a reality which Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif – Pakistan’s three time former premier, is having – a $100 billion economic revival plan for Pakistan.
PTIs Imran Khan’s almost three and half year rule moved Pakistan’s better running Economic trajectory into a negative economic quagmire, and left a decapitated slumped economy for the PDM government, and its after shocks are still being felt by the masses.
A PML-N leader on Wednesday while speaking from London on telephone informed PrideNews: “ It’s a catch 22 situation, and PML-N is all geared up for resuscitating the economy back on track with over $100 billion plan for Pakistan.”
“My foremost priority will be Pakistan’s economic turnaround,” the leader quoted Mian Nawaz Sharif as saying.
Asked how would it all happen, the PML-N leader not willing to share his name added: “Almost a staggering $45 billion will be posted in the economic engine from Gulf states with target line of privatisation of – Railways, PIA, PTCL transfer of property to UAE based Eitsalat and pending amount clearance by UAE based telecom giant, Postal Services, bullet train from Islamabad to Karachi, privatisation of all airports and giving them on lease to a Gulf State.”
Over $20 billion investment will be added again by Gulf states since “Pakistan will be the food basket for Gulf countries with the support of Chinese agri engineers”, he added.
A quick completion of CPEC project, completing the left over $30 billion projects mainly through Chinese consortiums for early completion of industrial trade zones which were to be established alongside CPEC routes, the official added.
The PML-N second tier leader remarked: “Mian Sahib himself had already worked out on the plan, and had already met with few leading gulf state dignitaries in this regard.”
The leader added that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will also fuel an energy investment of over $30 billion investing in not just energy, but also in health and food security sector.
The leader added that Economic turnaround is only through PML-N, as to date no other political party came-up with such a large scale economic revival plan.
The leader criticised PTI, declaring Imran Khan as an immature leader who focused on people to invest in chickens, opium production, and animal breeding.
Asked about future relations with India, the PML-N, leader added: “Mian Nawaz Sharif is business minded, and developmental leader, and he will definitely extend a friendship hand to its neighbour India leaving aside all the bad that has happened in the past.”
“PML-N will go for friendly ties with all the neighbouring countries be it India or even Afghanistan, and will open its borders as trade corridors for the region,” noted the leader.
“Pakistan’s food staple cost will also decrease once we extend a friendly hand to India, and hope for a positive response from Modi led government for productive ties in future once we are back in power with people’s support,” he noted.

Ends.
