Islamabad, Sept 27: With elections bugle already sounded, PTI, and all political parties would be part of it, but not Imran Khan – who mainly orchestrated 9th May riots putting Pakistan national secuirty at grave risk.
A highly placed government official told PrideNews on Wednesday: “Zero tolerance approach is for Imran Khan since he put our national state secuirty at risk and if things had slip out of our hands there were chances of an attack from outside from our enemies.”
“Absolutely not to him (Imran Khan)” the official responded to a question over Imran Khan’s upcoming election appearance.
“We will deal with iron fist with the planners, facilitators, mastermind(s), and idea creators of 9th May riots under the law using all resources to ensure that they are punished for every anti state act,” said the official on condition of anonymity, since he was not allowed to speak to press.
“Khan will face the law since he knew what’s going on on 9th May, and we have strong evidence which will pitched before the courts that PTI leader was mastermind and key planner of 9th May incident,” asserted the official.
With shifting of Khan to Adyala Jail caged in same cell where once former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was kept, Khan had been already charged guilty for selling state gifts in international market and imprisoned for the same.
“He (Imran Khan) will not be allowed to contest elections at any cost mainly because he risked Pakistan’s national security,” the official repeated twice.
“We have a complete list of PTI leaders the ones who stood against Khan, few stayed silent, even few resisted and were never part of this fake revolution drama, and we will let them contest the elections,” remarked the official.
In an interview on Sept 24 with The Associated Press news agency, interim Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar said: “Free and fair elections can take place without [Imran] Khan or hundreds of members of his party, who are jailed because they [were] engaged in unlawful activities including vandalism and arson.”
“All those who even used abusive language and attacked the military men in uniform will know that state institution(s), and their respect is paramount since they protect borders and ensure state’s risking their lives,” the official noted indicating that Khan’s trial for 9th May will also soon start in court of law.
Ends.
