Islamabad, Sept 30: Imran Khan the former Prime Minister of Pakistan has emerged to be the most immature politician in the history as in the witness box against him stood the then civil bureaucrats – Azam Khan — former PSPM, Asad Majeed — the then Pakistan Ambassdor to US, Faisal Trimzi — Additional Secretary Americas, and many others over later’s secret act violation in the cipher case.
The FIA on Saturday has come up with the strong evidence which indicate(s) that former premier Khan, and the then Forigen Minister Shah Mehmood Querashi were guilty for playing with national state secret for their personal political gains.
The FIA in its FIR noted: “Consequent upon the conclusion of the enquiry No. 111/2023 dated 05.10.2022, registered in the CTW, FIA Islamabad, it transpired that former prime minister namely Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi, former foreign minister namely Shah Mahmood Qureshi and their other associates are involved in communications of information contained in the secret classified document (Cipher Telegram received from Parep. Washington dated 7th March, 2022 to Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to the unauthorised person (i.e. public at large) by twisting the facts to achieve their ulterior motives and personal gains in a manner prejudicial to the interests of state security.”
A source close to ongoing developments told PrideNews on Saturday: “Khan has no argument to make in cipher case, and he lied on every statement he made.”
“We asked him set of questions, and in response to every question he was negating his own previously given answers,” the source remarked.
“He (Khan) is big time liar,” smirked the source.
A senior official informed PrideNews on Saturday: “When Zulfi Bukhari was acting as lynchpin for Khan to work out his way into Capitol Hill through George Kushner, Former US president Trumps son-in-law, Khan was all in love with US but once he came to knew a conspiracy about his exit from power through the then Intelligence Bureaus reports Khan was annoyed even pissed off, and angered.”
Having no way out, he got hold of Ministry of Forigen Affairs secret dossier – which are often routine in nature, which was shared by cipher wing with MoFA’s Americas desk.”
“Khan played with the state secuirty and its secret putting our ties with American’s under a shaky radar of displeasure, and bypassed diplomatic norms crossed the red line and also left Pakistan’s establishment red faced,” remarked the official.
“The evidence in cipher case is so strong along with witness statements that Khan can’t deny, and can’t come out clean,” added the official.
“We can’t trust him (Khan) anymore, and we call him a loose canon dangerous for state’s secuirty,” remarked the official.
The cipher saga first emerged on March 27, 2022, when former Primer Imran Khan — less than a month before his ouster in April 2022 — while addressing a public rally in Islamabad waved a letter before a huge gathering, claiming that it was a cipher from a foreign nation that had conspired with his political rivals to have PTI government overthrown.
He did not reveal the contents of the letter nor did he mention the name of the nation it came from.
But a few days later, Imran Khan accused the United States of conspiring against him and alleged that Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Affairs Donald Lu had sought his removal.
The cipher was about former Pakistan ambassador to the US Majeed’s meeting with Lu.
Even in a national televised address Imran Khan named US as the state which conspired against him, and immediately took a U-turn over his statement in the speech.
Ends.
