Islamabad, Oct 11: What appears to be a “cover operation” in the garb of hitting freedom fighters within the Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir, India has deployed Israel made drones indicating Delhi’s evil design – bringing likely escalation on Line of Control.
In Sept last month Kashmiri freedom fighters have made the brutal fissure within Indian defence line making revival to their freedom fighting movement, killing three key officers – two Indian Army officials, and a Police officer from Jammu police.
After finding no way out to contain the fighters the Indian Army later moved one of its Isreal made drone to the illegally Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir.
A security source in Islamabad said: “The Israeli-made Heron drones were moved out of Delhi to track down militants but despite clearance of operation the drones are still present some 80 km from Pakistan borders.”
It’s, the Gadole region of Kokernag located in Southern Kashmir, close to Sialkot, said the official adding: “We are alert, and observing the situation.”
According to various reports, “the drones from Israel (Heron) are equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance technology.
“We are always alert, and know how to protect Pakistan’s borders, and we know how to tackle such tactical defence move(s) aimed at bringing unrest at the Line of Control,” asserted the official.
They are, he said, “from Indian Drone Squadron,” informed the official.
“These are additional drones other than already present drones in this Northern region of India against Pakistan, and China,” the official informed PrideNews on Wednesday.
Heron Drones:
The recently introduced Heron Drones, Indian media has said, were believed to be participating in the ongoing anti-militant operations. In the month of August 2023, the Indian Air Force officially integrated the Heron Drones into its arsenal, claimed the reports.
These advanced drones, equipped with long-range missiles, and diverse weaponry possess both strike, and surveillance capabilities making them suitable for monitoring border areas and skipping radar defence system.
The Indian Air Force Squadrons piloting the Heron Mark-II Drones primary purpose has involved conducting surveillance operations along the shared borders with China and Pakistan.
Four of these state-of-the-art drones have been strategically positioned at a forward airbase located within the northern sector.
The Indian media said that In October 2022, India has been negotiating with Israel to manufacture the drone in India under license.
The Heron Mark-II is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and it represents an advanced version of the Heron UAV.
The most notable aspect of the Heron Mark-II is its standoff capability, allowing it to collect intelligence from considerable distances, often spanning tens of kilometres all without the need to breach borders.
