Islamabad, Sept 30: Hezbollah vowed on Monday to keep fighting Israel in support of Gaza after killing of its leader Hassan Nasrullah.
Nasrullah was killed in a major air strike that hit Lebanon a day ago causing turbulence within the militant group which has been fighting against Isreal for a free Palestine.
Hezbollah’s incumbent Chief Naim Qassem said in a video message aired on Arab Tv that the group was ready to repulse any Israel’s ground offensive, despite the fact that Isreal’s precise attack led to killing of large number of Hezbollah militia men.
Hezbollah began low-intensity cross-border strikes on Israeli troops a day after its Palestinian ally Hamas staged its unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7, triggering conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Israel said earlier this month that it was shifting its focus from Gaza to securing its northern border with Lebanon, in order to allow Israelis displaced since October to return to their homes. Isreal has already started a ground offensive to achieve its illicit goals by crossing international borders in to Lebanon.
The missile attacks on Lebanon by Isreal had led to killing of hundreds of innocent civilians and forced hundreds of thousands more to flee their homes, and left people across the region fearful for a likely more violence.
