Viral photos of locked grave are from India’s Hyderabad, not Pakistan

The viral photos of a locked grave on social media are from India’s Hyderabad city, but not Pakistan after some media reports suggested that Pakistani parents were protecting their deceased daughters’ bodies by locking their graves.

A local from Hyderabad claimed that the locked grave’s viral photo on social media is from India. The fact came forth on Sunday when last year, a man posted the photos on social media while visiting the locked grave in Hyderabad’s Madannapet area last year.

The man appearing in a video revealed that his friend’s mother was buried in the grave last year and her family installed an iron grill with a lock to stop others from burying someone else in the same grave

Muezzin of Salaarul Mulk Mosque told the media that he saw some people burying bodies in old graves in the same graveyard. For protecting the grave for being used for the burial of another body, the family of the deceased woman locked the grave.

Several Indian journalists confirmed the facts about the location of the grave in Hyderabad and refuted that the locked grave was located in Pakistan.
